Listen to Stupid Cancer Show

RealTime Cancer Community

This is where we "share our shit", literally and figuratively.  It's for those who are ready to leave pediatrics or have already gone, but are no where near geriatrics. Beware, this isn't only about ranting; while we definitely recognize the importance of a good rant.  The RealTime Cancer Community is all about the open, honest, pursuit of the positive, so all the stories you find here will be from the heart and inspiring.

The phrase "sharing our shit" came from Retreat Yourself 2005, when we realized that we all have "shit" to deal with, sometimes literally (special thanks to chemo) and other times figuratively (like dealing with your mortality 50 years earlier than you expected or having to get naked in front of dozens of complete strangers… you get the idea).

Profiles

A true story is a powerful thing.  Here is the place to meet survivors and supporters who have been where you are!

Articles

"Survivor talk" (and Supporters too!) on a number of experiences that arrive with a diagnosis of cancer.  Stuff like, "Getting and keeping a Hickman!", "How does chemo feel?", and "Is a bone marrow transplant an operation?"

Forums

The RealTime Cancer Community is all about creating connections, sharing our shit, and helping each other.  This is where it happens.  From dealing with your diagnosis to "re-intrajectorization" (getting back to "normal" life) no boundaries here, say what you feel!
