Operations
Young Adult Cancer Canada's operations are made possible because of the time and dedication of a number of wonderful individuals. Young Adult Cancer Canada has a Board of Directors, a Young Adult Advisory board, a Health Advisory board and an office team.
The Board of Directors help to shape Young Adult Cancer Canada as an organization and help to provide the organization with direction for it's programs and activities. The Board of Directors has six members who come from a variety of backgrounds and all have something to bring to the table.
The Young Adult Advisory board is Young Adult Cancer Canada's main connection to its target audience. Made up of survivors, supporters and interested young people, all the members of the board are between the ages of 15 and 39 and can relate to and shed light on the challenges faced by young adults dealing with cancer, either as a supporter or as a survivor who has dealt with it first hand.
The Health Advisory board consists of medical professionals who provide insight to Young Adult Cancer Canada with respect to the medical side of being a young adult who is dealing with cancer.
The office team are responsible for Young Adult Cancer Canada's day to day activities. From the delivery of programs such as Retreat Yourself, the RealTime Cancer Community and the Public Education program to community events such as the Young Adult Cancer Canada Climb and the Shave for the Brave, the office team are working to provide inspiration and support to young adult cancer survivors.
